Bell & Bell; Ross Launches New Bellytanker Series

Is everyone’s impression of Bell & Ross ‘internal and external’? In recent years, Bell & Ross seems unsatisfied with this positioning, and has produced several round watches with retro style. The brand’s new Bellytanker collection, consisting of two watches, also features a vintage round case.

‘Bellytank’ originated in the 1940s and 1950s. The term originally referred to the auxiliary fuel tank installed in the abdomen of a fighter aircraft for emergency use. Today, ‘Bellytanker’ mainly refers to high-speed racing cars made directly from this spare fuel tank. Bell & Ross designed these cars with the inspiration of these later versions of the Bellytanker. The inspiration for both watches was Bell & Ross’ own car.
