At the 2018 Geneva Haute Horlogerie Show, VanCleef & Arpels took inspiration from everything in the world, and continued to write PoetryofTime® poems to interpret the unique poetry of the golden years. The family transformed their childhood memories of staring on the grass and staring at the vast sky, turning them into PoeticAstronomy ™ poetic astrology watches, and in the cosmic sky, the wonderful dance performed by planets made of extraordinary gems. And when you look at the 12 constellations, you will be intoxicated by the bright starlight illuminated by the precise mechanical watchmaking process.
38mm white gold diamond-set bezel, crown also set with a diamond, dial with aventurine, rose gold sun, rhodium-plated gold meteor, pink mother-of-pearl mercury, green enamel Venus, turquoise earth and diamond moon . The blue dreamy starry sky dial brings infinite reverie. The delicate and feminine design is equipped with a self-winding mechanical movement specially developed by the family, which brings the sun and neighboring planets, including Mercury, Venus, Earth and its natural satellite moon to life. Each star orbits at its actual orbital speed around the sun in nature. It takes 88 days for Mercury to orbit the dial, 224 days for Venus, and 365 days for Earth. In addition, the most striking innovation of this watch is the moon. It takes 29.5 days to orbit the earth, and plays the starry ballet on the starry dial day after day.
The family carefully selects Venus and the Moon, which symbolize the feminine beauty, as the main characters of the dial. Combining exquisite manufacturing technology, the three-dimensional and vivid design is incorporated into the exquisite women’s watch. The LadyArpels Planétarium watch has a diameter of 38 mm. The bezel and the side of the case are set with diamonds. It is equipped with a tiny movement redesigned to fit the size of the watch. It is also equipped with a special module developed by the family and ChristiaanvanderKlaauw. The bright meteor made of rhodium-plated gold is the finishing touch to the vast sky, and it accurately tells the time in an elegant and poetic way.

Case back details
There are two windows showing the year, month and date on the back of the case, and the surrounding is decorated with exquisite and charming design. The back of the watch presents the same night blue starry sky, with a variety of precious stones inlaid on the aventurine outer plate, marking the corresponding stars. The balance pendulum in the middle of the bottom cover transforms into a delicate and elegant meniscus, and continues to perform a dreamy interstellar journey. Diamonds of all sizes embellish the crescent moon with snowflake-set sertineige, embracing the turquoise earth in the center.
The blue alligator strap perfectly sets off the elegant and soft sky, soft and delicate, comfortable and versatile
Every detail is ingenious, even the petite crown is inlaid with diamonds, which is very delicate and tasteful.
Watch detail with diamond case
The watch is thin and delicate, with diamonds set in the middle connecting lugs. The LadyArpels Planétarium watch invites you to explore the vast universe with superb craftsmanship, and indulge in the moving beauty of the deep sky and high-quality jewelry making technology.
VanCleef & Arpels has carefully selected a variety of traditional materials in the jewelry and watchmaking circles, and refined the vast sky into the exquisite world on the dial to create an immersive stargazing journey. The rose-gold sun shines in the center of the dial, and stars rotate around it. Craftsmen cut a variety of precious stones into round spheres by hand, creating elegant and touching pink mother-of-pearl Mercury and turquoise earth. Venus was carefully shaped into enamel beads by the family’s enamel workshop in Merlin, Switzerland, using green enamel. The dazzling moon, created with brilliant-cut diamonds, radiates brilliance, slowly moving around the earth, lifelike, forming a strong and moving contrast with the midnight blue starry dial. Seven aventurine turntables are embedded in the dial in the form of concentric rings, each of which independently rotates with the movement of the movement to outline the vast and mysterious universe. The stars and meteors travel at true speeds in nature and shine in the twinkling sky. Each watch is individually coded, and the vast starry sky is for you.
