On November 2, 2017, Hublot and Chelsea Football Club celebrated the second chapter of the partnership. The new Chelsea watch is certainly still blue, but it no longer belongs to the classic fusion series. Following the classic Chelsea Football Club chronograph in 2016, Hublot once again joined hands with Chelsea to launch the second cooperation timepiece: the Big Bang Chelsea Football Club Limited Watch.
The launch of the new watch was held at Stamford Bridge. Hublot football consultant and former Swiss national team coach Michel Pont, Hublot marketing director Philippe Tardivel, Hublot UK, France, Belgium, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. Sub-brand director Benoit Lecigne and Chris Townsend, commercial director of Chelsea Football Club, attended the event, along with Alvaro Morata, David Louis, Danny Drinkwater and Francisco Fabrega S.
The Big Bang Chelsea Football Club watch is limited to 200 pieces. The case is made of stainless steel with a diameter of 44 mm and a blue aluminized carbon fiber bezel. The dial is blue and decorated with sunburst, and at 30 o’clock, 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock each has a 30-minute cumulative timer, a 12-hour cumulative timer and a small seconds dial. Among them, the small seconds at 9 o’clock is engraved with ‘SW6’, which is also the zip code of Fulham Road where Stamford Bridge is located.
Equipped with a self-winding chronograph movement, it can provide a 42-hour power reserve. The 12 o’clock position of the dial and the sapphire crystal on the back are decorated with the Chelsea Football Club lion logo. With a blue alligator leather strap (blue rubber lining) and a stainless steel adjustable folding clasp, the overall appearance is more consistent.
